Intuition - Confusingly Mistreated and Disregarded Concept

Does it happen to you, folks? You are just calmly watching a scene of your favorite actor’s movie in your head only to turn on your TV set to see that exact movie playing. Have you ever been welcomed with the same song that you were singing when you turn on FM of your car? You are in a shopping mall heading for an ATM machine to withdraw money. Upon seeing it, a sudden and momentarily thought envelopes you and asks you not to use it. You insert your debit card into the machine only to find out that your card is swallowed by the machine. And yes you shake your head in disgust. Isn’t?

You are speaking to your friend about the intricacies of a topic, and your friend say a word or phrase that was exactly on your tongue to pop out. You have not heard from your school or college friend for long and in a flash that friend appears into your head one day in the morning. By the evening of the same day you receive a phone call or message from the same friend.

You find yourself in a situation where a question is asked to you. You may not have the facts regarding your answer but you just know the right answer. At times you feel you can read the minds of people around you. Your parents are talking to each other, and you can just tell what your parents are thinking. You trust people – family, friends, etc. around you. We all trust people around us. Your sibling is talking to you and you have something perfect in you that tell you he/she is lying. And in reality indeed he/she was lying.

Hey, if any of these happen to you just relax and unwind. You are set out on a path that will give you an ability of having that extra punch in you. Your fingers are on the right keys and you are welcome onboard to the country of 'Intuition'.

Don’t misconstrue ‘Intuition’ for a feeling. Intuition is not a mere feeling at all. Is it just your experience with your surroundings? Have your beliefs a role to play in intuition? There are many tales woven by people around intuition. We will unfold it in a while. However, let us see first what great Albert Einstein said about ‘Intuition’. The great Albert Einstein said, “The only real valuable thing is intuition”. It means some real thing. Isn’t? Albert Einstein had put his weight behind it. Albert Einstein had in fact also said, ‘intuitive mind is a sacred gift’.

'Intuition' is the intrinsic ability to connect with one's inner self. It is in fact a 'gut feeling'. It is when you know something but you do not know how you know it. In simple terms, ‘intuition’ is a sudden and abrupt judgment. Intuition is a sudden decision you make and in doing so you act specifically in certain ways to make such decisions. Your intuitions put you on a success ladder.

Andre Agassi, the yesteryears tennis champion, once said, “He had no time to think about his strokes during a tennis match, and relied totally on instinct.” It means he would have missed the ball to return back to his opponent had his strokes depend upon a plan hatched up by his logical and rational mind.

To paraphrase it up, “ that little ‘gut feeling’ and that little magical instinct from within tells us how we feel beneath those layers of logic and reasoning.” That is Intuition, folks.
